Shannon Berent (Gullickson)

Shannon peacefully passed away at 1:07am (7/21/14) surrounded by the love from family and friends, both near and far. Thank you for all the support through this journey, we are forever grateful. Mom made the decision to deed her remains to the University of North Dakota Medical School so there will not be a formal funeral but there will be an event to honor Mom. As those details are ironed out - we'll be sure to share them here so that everyone knows they are welcome to celebrate truly a life well lived.

Dear Family,

Shannon ......what a wonderful voice and talent.   I'll always remember her spunk and

singing....especially when she sang, "Ma, He's Making Eyes at Me."

Deepest sympathy to all of you.

I am  deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Shannon.

Shannon was my first love and best friend and I have thought of her often over the years.

May her family be at peace knowing she was a one of a kind.  She is now a SPECIAL ANGLE..

Dear family,

Shannon was always a bright spot to be around, and yes, Laurae - now I have "Ma he's makin' eyes at me" stuck in my  head - it could only be sung by Shannon that way, with her sparkle. Jerry and I share your sadness, and consider ourselves forunate for having known her even though for just the earlier years of her life.

I remember my mom and dad loving it when she was around -"she's such a sweet girl and always smiling" they would say.

Fondly,

Mary Anne (McElroy) and Jerry Hanson

Olivia Gorman (Weinrich)

Olivia Gorman Weinrich - I am so saddened to hear that Shannon is no longer with us.  We went to Valley Junior High school together every day   I remember her mother and grandparents very well.  She could really belt out a song.  She was our lead singer in our 8th grade musical which we wrote ourselves.  We thought it was so "cool" to wear identical outfits to a school dance!!!  I am so glad I got to see and talk to her at our 50th reuniion.  She will be missed.

I will join in sending condolences to the family of Shannon Berent Gullckson - but I think I have all of her former suiters bested - I liked Shannon back at Winship Elementary School - where I went for only a very short time in first grade.  Even then she was wise beyond her years - she didn't have much time for me!

I remember her graciousness and her wonderful singing and dancing talent. My sincere sympathies!  She will be greatly missed.
