BONNIE HED Graham

I moved to Auburn, Washington in 1965 with my husband (at the time) Bob Anderson from EGF Central. Started working at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Wa in 1974 for a short period of time while he was on strike, and ended up staying for 30 years as the Executive Assistant to the Administrator of Finance. Married John Graham in 1983. He is a full-time flight attendant for Alaska Airlines and works 2 days a week in the Engineering Department at Valley Medical Center. We love to camp in our travel trailer, love to fly fish, but mostly love to dance. I will drop anything to go dancing. We attend many, many concerts. I was fortunate to see Elvis and Ricky Nelson in concert, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Fabian (whom I danced with), Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton, Paul Anka and many others. John is such a good sport as I drag him to all these events. I fly back and forth to Dallas every other month to visit my son and his family. We also have a condo in Lake Havasu City where we like to spend as much time as possible although John is still employed so his time there is limited. Update: John retired in November 2016, so now we are able to spend winters in Lake Havasu City.

The funniest story I remember at Central was taking my Dad's brand new 1960 Chev Impala out on some country road and racing it - I can't remember all the details. The transmission went out and I had to drive it in reverse all the way home and push it into the garage. Of course, I told my dad I didn't know how it happened and being an only child (his little girl) I got away with it. Whew!! Everything we did back then, was totally harmless and fun (unlike in today's world).

I haven't had pizza as good as Howard's Pizza and I haven't had "turtles" that could compare to Widmans. Ate 5 turtles every day after school. That was my dinner! And the mocha cakes from Cox's Bakery were the very best!

My biggest disappointment was when Doc Winters gave me a "B" in chemistry. I was always a straight A student but had been in the hospital for a week with meningitis (almost lost my life) and because I wasn't sitting in class for that week, he felt I missed out on a lot of discussion and couldn't give me an A. I have always regretted not fighting for that A.

Loved singing in the Centralian chorus and Girls Glee Club, Hobnobs at the Y, dances at the Armory.
