Peggy L. Witheril, 83 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Sanford Fargo Hospice, Fargo, North Dakota.

Peggy was born on April 10, 1943, the daughter of Clifford and Thelma (Asleson) Crawford in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1961. Peggy was united in marriage to Fred Witheril on June 24, 1961, and they made their home in Grand Forks. She was a stay-at-home mom when their children were younger but eventually worked at the Grand Forks Clinic. Peggy eventually began her career as an insurance agent for JB Bridgston Insurance and finished her career at Mike Schaefer Insurance, retiring in 2007.

Peggy and Fred wintered in Arizona for many years. She was an active member of University Lutheran Church. Peggy enjoyed baking and socializing with her family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her children, Michael Witheril of Grand Forks, ND and Kristine (Jeff) Larson of East Grand Forks, MN; two grandsons, Scott Larson and Bryce (Ashley) Larson; great-grandson, Colter Larson; sisters, Eunice Twiddy of New Bern, NC, Pat (Sal) Tucci of Delran, NJ and Rita Koller of Hot Springs, AR; brother, Clifton (Dee) Crawford of Grand Forks, ND; sisters-in-law, Karen Witheril of Enumclaw, WA and Kathleen Songas of Grantsburg, WI;  numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2026, at University Lutheran Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
