LANCE TWEDT

Graduated from UND in 1967 in Elementary Education, entered the US Army (ROTC) and spent a year in Arizona, followed by a year on an all-expense paid tour of the Republic of Viet Nam. Returned to GF and UND and graduated again in 1971 with a Master's Degree in Education. Began teaching in Cottage Grove, MN in 1971, and spent the next 40+ years in Public Education. Retired in 2002, and began selling real estate - currently work just enough so it doesn't interfere with my golf activities!

Met Lois, my bride of 39 years - we married in 1975, have two great adult children who live in the Twin Cities - Luke, Pharmacist, married Allie in 2011, and they have a five year old boy named Carson - he's our step-grandson and we think he's pretty special! Logan, our second son, is a Software Developer and lives in Minneapolis, and is not yet married.

I have only great memories of growing up in GF - Marv Skaar and Legion Baseball, lunch at Black's Bakery, Hob Nobs at the YWCA, the Kegs, Riverside Park Swimming Pool, first class at Valley Junior High School, "bug" hats, Sock Hops, Howard's Pizza, Henry's, The Bike Shop, Widman's, . . .Ed Rolfson's English Lit, Study Halls! Geez - !!!!
